The key to all great design is that the designer is a good listener.  My goal is to really understand what my client wants before I dive into the creative process.

Beverly McCloskey learned the greatest lessons in design through her mother’s gracefulness and hospitality.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Interior Design from Auburn University, Beverly started her professional career in 2001 in New York City working for GF55 Architects where her first project was the complete design of the Park Avenue apartment of an author and Nobel Peace Prize winner. She then completed her formal training working as a designer for Bunny Williams.

Beverly spent the next eight years in Hong Kong where she opened her own design office focused on high end residential and institutional projects including the Hong Kong Campus for SCAD.  While in Hong Kong, Beverly and her husband Jim set up the frame work and launched the production for Bunny Williams Home through Riversedge Furniture Company.

Beverly continues to work on commercial and residential design projects in California, North Carolina and Virginia where her family now resides.

Residential design is couture design. Each space is an opportunity to celebrate the unique lifestyle of my client.

In commercial design each space must incorporate the high functioning needs of many people while encompassing the perfect balance of style, scale, flexibility, comfort, and durability.

Architectural Design

We work directly with clients and their contractors developing the design of a space and providing the necessary drawings and specifications. Whether its reworking the exterior elevation of a home, an addition to a building or the design of a new bathroom or kitchen, Beverly McCloskey Designs leads their clients step by step from the beginning to the completion of each project.

Exploring corners of the world keeps Beverly engaged allowing her to seek the artistic talent and historical background of places visited.  She delights in discovering one-of-a-kind artisans, studios and galleries.  Nothing is better than when her client is drawn to a handpicked or commissioned piece; often its mood and color sets the palette for the client’s design scheme. Take a moment to seek inspiration through her finds.

Interior Design

Our goal is to create interiors that meet the needs of each of our clients and to exceed all of their visions and hopes for the space. This is achieved through a well worked design process. Beverly Mccloskey Designs strives to provide transparency throughout the design process to allow their clients to make informed decisions and love the finished product.
